The Chinese
Chaste Tree is considered
to be one of the
best pollinator plants.
In mid-summer, it
flowers for four consecutive
weeks and the
honeybees and butterflies
swarm to drink
its sweet nectar. This
aromatic shrub produces
long chains of tiny,
fragrant, bluish-lavender
flowers that appear
in the heat of summer.
Since it blooms on new
wood, it can be pruned
to the ground in early
spring to stimulate new
leaf growth.
